Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom Reveals The Cost in Taiwan

ASUS has revealed the cost of their ZenFone 3 Zoom on their Taiwanese website, showcasing that the phone will end up costing NT $14,990 for consumers who wish to buy the phone. Though the U.S. price isn’t listed, NT $14,990 converts to almost $488, so those in the U.S. that have been interested in this particular device can expect the cost to be somewhere around that price range, though the official U.S. cost would likely be slightly different and could be more or less than the converted amount as the original ZenFone Zoom was $399. ASUS officially announced the ZenFone 3 Zoom at CES earlier this year and it was unveiled alongside their other new phone which is the ZenFone AR.

ZenFone 3 Zoom

The ZenFone 3 Zoom focuses primarily on giving consumers a great picture experience and was designed with photography enthusiasts in mind, as it sports a dual rear camera setup that features two 12.3-megapixel sensors along with dual pixel autofocus and 4K video capture. It’s also equipped with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and it uses an AMOLED panel so it’ll offer up up rich and vibrant color contrasts and deep blacks.

While the camera is definitely one of the main focal points of the device when it comes to features, the phone also has a fairly large battery at 5000mAh and it has 64GB of internal storage space, while also supporting expandable storage if you need even more room for your files. Like many mid-range and high-end phones these days the ZenFone 3 Zoom also has a fingerprint sensor so you can unlock the device with this method instead of having to rely on a PIN or password, and it should support mobile payments as well. There is currently no mention of when the ZenFone 3 Zoom will come to the U.S. but the phone is expected to launch in other regions outside of Taiwan sometime this month. There is no guarantee that the U.S.-based model of the ZenFone 3 Zoom will launch this month along with other regions, but the U.S. landing page for the phone is already live so there is no reason to think that it might be pushed beyond a February release time frame.
